A New Chapter in My Dance Journey: From Bolivia to Virginia
Hello everyone! 💃✨
My name is Paola Montenegro, and I am beyond excited to share this new chapter of my life with you. After more than ten years of dancing and teaching across Bolivia and Latin America, life has brought me here to Virginia, USA, where I am now proud to join the incredible team at Crown Dance Studio.
From Bolivia to the U.S.
My dance journey began in Bolivia, where my first love was traditional folk dance. From there, I expanded into Bachata, Salsa, Belly Dance, Pole Dance, and Ballroom, performing on both national and international stages. Dance has always been more than steps for me—it’s been a way to connect with culture, express emotions, and even heal.
Leaving Bolivia wasn’t easy. Change never is. But stepping into Virginia has given me a new stage to grow, to teach, and to share the joy of movement with even more people.
Joining Forces with Abraham Sannoh
One of the highlights of this new chapter is working alongside Abraham Sannoh, the owner and lead instructor here at Crown Dance Studio. Abraham brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the studio:
-
Certified dancer with Arthur Murray and DVIDA (Dance Vision International Dance Association)
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Sports & Recreation Management
-
Rhythm Finalist in competitive dance
-
Certified Fitness & Health Coach
His commitment to excellence, technique, and building community through dance inspires me every day. Together, we bring complementary strengths—Abraham’s deep expertise in ballroom and fitness, and my multicultural background in Latin and world dances.
✨ What This Means for You
At Crown Dance Studio, our goal is simple: to help you not just learn how to dance, but to feel transformed by it. Whether it’s Bachata, Salsa, Ballroom, or preparing for your unforgettable wedding dance, we want to give you more than steps—we want to give you confidence, healing, and joy.
For me personally, teaching here is about blending everything I’ve learned in Bolivia and beyond with the energy and diversity of Virginia. Every class is an opportunity to build bridges between cultures, between people, and between the mind and the body.
Let’s Dance Together!
This is only the beginning of my story here at Crown Dance Studio, and I can’t wait to share more experiences, lessons, and reflections with you through this blog.
If you’re in Virginia, come join me and Abraham on the dance floor. Let’s grow, connect, and celebrate life together—one step at a time.
✨ See you in class!
